Yamaha’s WR450F last saw a major overhaul in 2019 and then was granted a mid-generation update in 2021. Similar to the YZ450F moto crosser, the WR450F enters a new generation every half decade. That rings true for 2024 as the Tuning Fork brand’s flagship enduro is new from the ground up.

Many of the WR450F’s changes for 2024 are based on those made to the YZ450F last year, but Yamaha engineers and test riders paid special attention to tuning the bike for its intended use of being a fast enduro machine. This means power delivery, suspension performance, and handling characteristics are unique to it.
